Shooting with the Bird Man Photographer
Mike is currently in the Chicagoland area and today I drove out to meet him to see what we could find. Neither of us were very familiar with the area so we didn't really know where to go shoot. The light was horrible and the birds were scarce but I still came away with a couple that are so-so. It was great to meet Mike and hopefully some day I will be able to go shooting in Mikes backyard. So here are the pics I got from the day.
First thing we saw that was worth raising our lenses for.
In another location there were songbirds all around but they are always a pain to get. This one turned out half decent, a bit cluttered though.
The last place we were at had two GBH's that were willing to model for us.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I feel lucky to live in Florida, a target rich environment for wildlife. I can't wait to get home to my birds and 105* heat indexes. Hope you can make it down to FL for the February Feather Finally. I'm sure I can put you on some good birds then.
Keep warm up here in the cold North.
Too bad I didn't get to hook up with you & Frank at the air show. That would have been fun....well at least a lot less dangerous. I think I'll be having an MRI run on my knee when I get home. Guess maybe it's time to hang up the hightops. Getting too old to keep tearing up my knee. Hope I don't have to have it scoped again. Grrrrrr. Where to these young kids get all their energy? Sign me up.
Cheers
