    Thanks!
Wow, this is awesome, thanks everyone!

To answer a previous question, it was handheld. I was using the canon 24-105 f/4L and I really wanted to give the IS a challenge. It took a few shots but I finally got one with the hammock sharp.

It was great to see other's concepts on the topic, there were a lot of great shots!

god bless you if that is handheld.

i get crisp shots at 1/4 second handheld and trying very very hard to be still while firmly planted on terra firma, with 3rd generation IS on a 17-85IS lens - and most forums seem to verify that is about the lowest shutter speed one can go with steady hands.

most cant go that slow of a shutter speed and get very very sharp results. and that is abut the limit pretty much for anybody.

3rd generation is is good for 3 stops.

taking a shot at 1/3 of a second while on a swinging hammock while holding it or resting it on your body that is in a form of motion, and coming out tack tack sharp. well, i tip my hat off to you sir.

the shot was a great concept. fit the theme perfectly.

and you have the steadiest balance and hands on the planet to boot. you should go for fighter pilot in the air force :D
