I really like the composition and idea... but dare I suggest its a little overexposed? I tend to think the shadows may pop out a little bit more if it was less blown out in the top right corner.

I think I sort of agree with Erik. Great shot!, but I think the SHADOWS could somehow be more of the emphasis. Perhaps exposure...perhaps composition....but somehow making the shadows the main event would make it stronger for me.

Definitely a nice concept though. thumb.gif

    Nice shot!!
I just spent two hours taking shots of a martini glass for the last challenge. Maybe alcoholic beverages should be a theme in the future.
    Think of the great prizes!!!

Great idea, a wee bit overexposed. Minor tweaking and you'll have something memorable, IMHO.

Thanks guys for all your comments!

The over-exposure is of choice, not a mistake. I did several exposures of this composition at F5 ISO64 from 1sec to 13secs. The 13sec was my choice. I think being a bit over adds a uniqueness to it - otherwise it would be just another 'Absolut Vodka and Glass' you see everywhere mwink.gif

Lynn, 'burned' the shadows Cletusly. I like it! I think it does add empahasis to the shadows. Thanks!

What the Doc said. But maybe make yourself (or use) a snoot to better
    direct the light?
