i used to dj a bit, still got my gear. i knew of this spot and had several ideas for a shoot with my vinyl and a turntable, and my lovely girlfriend helped take the shots. i gave her some of my vision, and she contributed some of her creative eye for some of it as well.

First shot is very nice.
The thing about second one, is the lack of DOF and perspective, it's somekind flat ... And painting on the wall distracts, it's too colorfull and dominant, in my humble opinion
Another vote for #1.. I guess what I like about it, is despite the fact you probably won't see a guy with a turntable leaning on a rock next to an overpass, it doesn't look posed. In fact, he looks pensive.
thanks for the feedback. maybe ill have to try different angles on the 2nd shot. actually my gf did shoot from different angles even though i wanted it more straight on, she had a good idea there. have to edit those.

This is very cool! Who's the guy and how did you get to shoot him?

You got lucky, pardner, hold on to her:-)
The first one is quite nice but the second is... well, there's something ridiculous in the pose: it seems far too prepared.
I like the colors, anyway.

Love you galleries as well. You have a very unique perspective on your subjects (does that make any sense!?:D ).
