i wish i had a studio. using track lighting and hung sheets just isn't cutting it.

Very nice, remarkably so, given your technical limitations. What were your ISO and shutter speed?

i had a flash mounted on a bracket but i was still getinn shadows so i just went to bouncin straight up, low ceilings, with the built in diffuser on.

sigma 10-20 at 10-12mm for the shoot mostly.

    iso 400, shutter speed was bouncin between 1/40 and 1/50 at around 6.3 & 7.1 f stop.

Think outside the box - so you don't have a studio. Okay. Why not do this shot outside on a vast lawn? Or in a field of wildflowers with tons of colors drawing the distinction in the color panels? Best part of that is that you can use available light to your advantage!

The idea stands on its own as a great one - move the venue and make a great idea into a great shot!

i want a very monotone setting for this shot, preferably white.

i want to do it on the beach as well but that will be another adventure, and im not sure where yet.

i thought about on green grass, i have to shoot it and see how it looks.

but white was the primary idea as the background.

    awesome shot!!!
this definitely works, but i think i would love it more if there was less space above her head. maybe a closer crop?

im gonna redo the shot. change a few things.

1)getting these tracks so i can hang the sheets/drapes/curtains perfectly straight, no creases, just a perfectly smooth space.

    2) on the vertical space place the patches of color as well

3)perhaps even hang some from the ceiling with thin fishing wire, creatinga 3d space of color choices

4)try it with a black fabric space as well

5)try it with a myriad of shades of blue, and have her hold a different color like red.

time to get to work :D

You get an A+ for creativity in my book. Keep on shooting.
