Cyclefest turned out to be a blast. A head cold and rain could not keep me away! This was my first time attending a Supermoto race and I couldn't have been happier, well maybe if the light had been a little better....

I was really excited to find that more than a few of my shots were actually in focus! I did manage one semi decent blur shot but I'm pretty sure that was an accident. :D

Hope you all enjoy these!

Actually its severe rear tire slippage (compare with front tire and lack of motion blur in background). Notice the counter-steering. Guy is on exit of a turn, too much throttle, counter-steering to correct, and I think actually laying a patch of rubber too! Great shot, good timing. Lots going on in that photo.

Well you nailed the analysis on that one Bill! This was the last 180 degree corner before the front straight so the guys were really gettin on it out of here. I really liked how the back end was sliding out on these, but there wasn't much speed involved. The guys in the Lites and Unlimited classes had a really hard time when the track was wet, they were sliding all over the place coming out of this corner!

    Thanks for the comments!

Thanks for the comments Erik. :D Tons more shots of Wardy, I'll put a few more up a bit later.

This race was cool because thay actually had open pits and we were able to check out all the sweet bikes. Ward rode right past me on his pit bike and I was standing right next to Doug Henry. I kept telling my husband to say "Hi" and ask for an autograph but he said "No, I feel like a tool doing that!"

We definitely had a great time. :D

A couple more shots of Ward.

Not as much wheel spin here, but that might explain why he won the race!

Unfortunately all my female friends think I'm a bit weird. They don't quite get my obsession with all things Moto. Most of the guys think I'm pretty dang cool though :D

Did I mention that I actually ride bikes too??? All by myself even!

Thanks for the comment, glad you like my shots. :):

Thanks! Have to say though that I am such a beginner. :D I'm still working on just getting my shots in focus, I didn't even waste my time trying any Pan & Blur shots! I had some serious gear envy going on too. I'm out there with my little $200 70-300mm zoom lens on my KM5D, and checking out all the fancy glass the pros were sporting. Yikes! Talk about some serious intimidation. :uhoh

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. :D
