Help - monitor or printer problem?

Ive mentioned a few times lately that I had to get a new computer.
I bought the Macbook.

The problem is that when I view the photos on the computer, the colors look correct, but are not printing the same as on the screen.

This is the same printer I was using with the Imac- and I never had any problems like this with the imac.

I have been trying to print a flower photo and the lavender is printing a pink.

I did change the monitor setting to epson colormatch rgb- I dont know if this is the right setting.

I ve been trying to figure this out for 2 weeks, if anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thankyou

Pamela

Have you calibrated the monitor? The printer? Are you using the correct profiles?

    No
I havent calibrated any of the above.
The monitor (by eye) looks to be right on.

Im sorry , but I dont know the steps to calibrate the monitor or the printer.

I have set the monitor to epson colormatch rgb- there is a choice to click on profile from that page , but since Ive never had to venture in this area, I thought it would be better to get advise.

Is there some info I could read or if any knows how to do this?

    Thankyou
