At bat as it looks...

Title suppose to be: As bat as it looks...

The flower on this cactus attract insects which attract bat's. Every about 2 minutes a bat came
to "take a bite". I did my best to capture the face from the bat but did not succeed. My tripod
is not heavy enough for my camere, so I had to handheld. Thank god for VR technology.

I hope you like them.

Does the EXIF disturb the picture too much? Personally I prefer this above an extra border.

Dick, these are some extraordinary shots. I have seen a lot of bats around me lately and have been tempted to try shots like this.

    excellent

have done very well-it looks like they are feeding on nectar.

to get a face you may need to use a light trap to trip your shutter in time-eg laser pointer beam and reflector.

Nice work but its a bloody shame that you couldn't get the head. That would have been a showstopper.

Bravo Dick. Nice shots. thumb.gif Interesting subject matter. Im sure we have bats here, but I seldom venture out in the dark with camera. Good way to fall in the canal and lose my gear. rolleyes1.gif
