You can't do satire any more...

...reality will trump you every time.

Some time ago, I posted a satiric preview of a future version of Photoshop. Among other things, I predicted a thinning wand that would reduce the weight of the selected person.

Well folks, HP has done me one better by actually implementing this feature in a new digicam. You can see the story at c|net news here and a sample pic here. The article discusses a number of other tricks that are being implemented in consumer cameras. Sort of changes what "straight out of the camera" means.

Cheers,

Yep that's scary. I realyl like the "edit out an ex-boyfriend" feature. Anyone else watched the shows about Stalin & the extensive retouching they did on photos? :uhoh

This may also force some photo professions to return to film--can't play these games in-camera for evidence photos that way.

That seems a bit unlikely given all the other advantages of digital, but stranger things have happened. ne_nau.gif

Canon does offer an add-on feature that purports to guarantee the integrity of a pic. Anybody know how this works? Seems like just about anything other than quantum encryption can be broken by a determined rogue with enough cycles to burn.

    Didn't see that coming :D
Why not take make a camera that when you take the photo it just switches bodies..you just have to tell the camera male or female.

A little tip: don't take any photos of women with the Canon 10-22...they will hate you forever umph.gif
