print file size limit and up-resing

Just had a customer order a 20x30 of one of my photos. I have that gallery on proof delay, so I went into PSCS and created a file that measures 9000x6000 pixels (20x30 inch print @ 300 dpi), converted it to 8-bit, sRGB, jpeg and tried to replace the old photo.

It doesn't seem to work though-- is there a limit on the size? Should I simply upload my original 300 dpi file (from an 8 megapixel camera) and let EZ prints up-res it for a 20x30 print? What's the best method for a large print?

    think I found the answer
    http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-quality

Looks like I need 254 dpi and let EZ Prints up-res it. Nice job SM on the new help pages-- they're much easier to navigate and understand than before.

9000x6000 is 54megapixels and the max file size in megapixels is 48megapixels :)

You found the right answer though.
