Hello, my ATL bretheren I think it's a terrific shot, marred by the power lines. The burst of light from the trees is really powerful, and it's all about nature. It explodes like some kind of flower. That's why both the lines and the man-made nature of the power lines detract from the image. Man, that's a lot of cloning to remove them, tho. Is there a spot where you can get a similar effect, but without any utulities in the way?
There was a really dense fog on the river this morning. It was an unusual event. This was taken where Fulton meets Forsythe county. Let the cloning begin!!:cry
I think it conveys both.. it's a beautiful shot mgound.. is it tilting to the right a smidge? I'm paranoid now ever since Andy noticed my challenge entry was tilting and I could'nt see it....:D
I agree with it being an awesome shot. I am as up in the air as you are re whether it conveys shadows. I don't see it, but others do. I love fog. I don't think I usually see shadows well in it, but it has been awhile. A strong light source would seem better to me????
Just wanted to come in with my oh so humble opinion. Not much help is it?

I always wanted to shoot this little guy that has been hanging on my fridge. He casts an interesting shadow.
By the way, you did a fantastic job cloning out the power lines. Your entry looks terrific.
