Uploading for varied print sizes

: I want to be able to crop my action shots real tight, but I also want people to be able to order a wide variety of print sizes. If I shoot at 6megapixles and crop for 8 by 10's and save to 300 resolution can most sizes be printed with good quality? I know that the help section has a lot of info---but I can't seem to grasp it all...and yes---I am really blonde.

I prefer uploading the full file, and allowing crops (for event type stuff).

Cropping for 8x10 can make it hard for 3:2 ratio, so beware.

This might be a dumb question...
When an image comes straight from the camera....how do you know its resolution?
