Burrrrr is right! The overall picture with the dark blues looks great but the I think what makes it look odd is the mist/splash/foam at the bottom. If it was more white I think the dynamic blue water be ok.

p.s. I went back and looked at the original and the falls were in a shadow and looked really blue..
I took the time to redo it ... even tho I don't think the shot warrents it..:D
I think you took out your highlight detail when you took out the blue, Lynn. On my monitor, there is definitely less detail in the ice to the lower left than in your first image. This is a hard crowd to please, isn't it?

so funny... I hate the picture... Only took it desperation for something to shoot at...just goes to show.. you should only post shots that you really believe in and really like.. lets burn this one..

I dont know about burning lyn...i like it.
Is it over sharpened ? I say that because i do it too much to most of my stuff & can see the grain forming (i may well be wrong). I only dream about having ice to photograph...saw it a few times on cars when i was a kid
What about getting the ice close up & the water moving in the background ?

I think this is better....how many dgrinners can you spot in this picture...it's a test...
If you throw it away, can I have it? Really, I love the ice in the first one. I'd just reduce the blue in the falls and leave the ice alone. I get so excited about the New England landscapes! Never, never throw one away!:D

Lynn,
Erm, don't want to make it more complicated... but I think the blue has a very artistic element! Okay, it doesn't look real, but it is one awesome photo!!! Just my 2 cents

Oh, Snappy, I do think the ice needs more detail, most ice has more. And for the photo I would darken the left side some.
That was what I thought.
I want the last version Lynne did.

This is great! I spot 15. What a fun picture!
How about doing a christmas tree with everyone on it as ornaments?
