adding grain-

this is from ps 'how to wow' book-

option/alt and click on new layer icon-
set mode to soft light-
turn on the fill with soft light checkbox-
click ok-

then filter>noise>add noise check gaussian and monochromatic and amount to 25-

if too digital, use filter>blur>blur-

and/or opacity slider to taste-

    I saw a while ago someone took a scan of an actual film slide to get the grain, then did hte overlay & opacity trick. the examples were awesome. I think I have the file he made available floating round here somewhere...

    It's a cool technique, though.

    Gettin rid of grain......
    What I want to know is the best way to get rid of grain! ( I got lots of it)
