I ended up going to Bolsa in the morining and left mid-afternoon. It seems like a good time for sleepy raptors. The osprey took off as soon as he could see me. I ended up waiting at the end of the path on a slight hill, near where the path is blocked by the new fence. Most of the photos I took was from that area. I'm going to give Crystal Cove a try today!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks for the comments!

Thanks Harry! That juvenile peregrine landed on a branch right above my head while I was shooting some phalaropes. I mistook him for a merlin at first.
