We went Friday night, saw the Prairie Home Companion show, walked the midway for a bit afterwards.
The sky was overcast most of the day, but you do what you can.
We had a lot of fun, but there was a lot of walking.

I used the Canon XT with a Tamron 18-200 DI lens.
All shots Hand Held.

Wow, you hand-held this? You must have a very steady hand! Very good.

You are one versatile guy! You nailed action, portrait, macro, concert, AND night shots (to name a few that come to mind).clap.gif All this in one visit? WOW - you were one busy photomaniac. Your shooting finger got a good workout too.:D Makes me want to go to our state fair (that starts next week) and see what I can capture.

Really enjoyed your pics from the Fair.

What do you think of the Tamron Lens? I am a little disappointed in it's sharpness (or lack of sharpness to be more precise).

    Thoughts?

Maybe I just got lucky, but I'm pleased with my Tamron.
Is it the sharpest lens around? No. But the pic's are sharp enough that I can clean it up PS Elements.

I have read that with your lens that you can get a "bad" copy. If it's still
under warranty you could try sending it in for a tune up.

This shot was taken at night, at 200mm, wide open, at ISO 1600, with Canon's
lowest priced DSLR, at 1/60th of a sec, handheld. To say the least, I'm happy with this lens.

I have more shots here with the Tamron lens if you care to look.

I have more on my smugmug site, but I don't have them labeled.
    Mostly from the Landscapes/shootout galleries.
