Ren Fest 56k warning
Last weekend I had the good fortune to have Sunday off of work. I went with my family to a ren fest north of Detroit. We had a good time shopping and trying odd food.

Of course the best part of the day was people watching. People really get into dressing the parts and role playing for the day.
Some of the outfits may not be "true" to any period, but they certainly were fun to look at.
Some of the costumed characters walking about were actors playing roles to increase the period feeling, or to entertain the visitors. Some of them were quite odd...
Of course there was jousting and feets of skill to observe.
The knights put on a good show and did a fair amount of acting to create the illusion of ancient contests.
There were plenty of pretty girls to photograph as well.
