Nice set Dick especially the bat shot. You seem to be getting some good use oot of the 80-400. How's the 18-200? I've been considering getting that lens as a walkabout lens when I want to travel light.

Thanks Harry.
The VR 18-200 is a great lens on the D200 but it's a much lesser lens on the D70. It's a bit sharper than the 80-400 and reasonable fast. I suggest "try before you buy".

I'm considering upgrading to a D80 -- do you suppose the lens will not be as nice on it, like the D70? Do you have specific reasons why?
Oh, and nice shots. :
Thanks.
Because I own the D200 as well the D70, I noticed that the VR 18-200 is just a lesser lens on the D70. Reason? Well...I don't know. The Nikkor 28-200mm f3.5-5.6G IF-ED is much better on the D70 than the D200. You will notice the diff. right away. I don't know about the D80 or any other model. If possible: Try before you buy.

Dick, these are great but #2 and #7 are awesome. The thing is that when people at work tell me that I take good pictures because of my expensive equipment I look at pictures like these and you have the same equipment that I have and I can't come close to what you have done. Very well done.

Thanks for your kind words but....you're kidding right? I peeked at your galleries and I had similar thoughts.
