At last I know!
I mean these 'go-go' girls!
I was at the RNB party this weekend....
Its must be shame that I know this only now ...
BTW, photographing a process of dancing - is a hard task...
What I understood - still images of dance are mainly awful.
To make them a bit attractive I use long exposure with flash...
(You must be listenin to Tom Novy & Lima 'Take it' song!)
1 Standard still img
So to say 'Movin' imgs...

R1 shots...
What's your experience with dancing photography?

Yuri

I do not shoot at parties but at belly dancing events of my daughter. The light is similar and they move as fast.
Actually it is not so difficult as you think even without flash, but you need to have the right gear for it:
1) canon dslr at 800 or 1600 IS0 - argue what you want anyone but there is no comparison at high ISO
2) fast lens - a prime with f/1.4 or f/1.8, fast f/2.8 zooms are not as good but also usable
Finally you need a bit of the technique and feel to use the available light at the venue. These spot or flood lights and strobes can provide some amazing light effects.

Like it or not we most often get what we deserve in the end.
