    You can call cats people in some situations (see a couple of the definitions here). The category doesn't specifically say "human beings," so it's a bit of a loophole.

    Anyway, I love that shot. I have one cat who literally gives me a dirty look every time I try to take his picture.

    I like the shot. I would try cropping the right side to lose the blob, and see if I could get any detail out of the shadow side of the cat's face.
