Burrowing Owl and Desert Pronghorn

Hey all, it's been a while. I haven't posted anything in quite some time. I figured I'd better throw something up here. So, I work in the desert, almost on the edge of the Bonneville Salt Flats here in Utah. As I was driving home from work on evening, I noticed a group of birds not far from the parking lot. Burrowing Owls as it turns out. I didn't even know there was such a thing. I only got one of them, and it's not that great. I believe there are 5 birds in all. I guess I need a longer lense. I couldn't get very close or they would fly away, but here are a couple anyway. I did what I could with them. And not far from where I took the owl photos, this pronghorn antelope came strollin' by. He's actually a fairly decent buck. Let me know what you think of these. Thanks!

    Jim,
Good looking out! I would have stopped for these shots as well!

Just a question though, are these AF or Man. focus? They all seem just a bit soft. Can you post some EXIF for them?

I too have the same lens as the ones listed in your sig....the 18-55USM and the 75-300IS USM. Still hope to get some L glass soon.

Thanks for sharing Utah with us! clap.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
