I spent a fair bit of time with Ken on SmugMug over the summer. Thanks for noticing!

Yeah, he isn't the most respected guy on the web.... Hmm...shoot lower-quality JPEG to speed upload. Yeah, ok. rolleyes1.gif

Love him or hate him, his site does get a lot of traffic.

Hey, with proof delays, it's pretty sound advice.

    This is true.

I also want to add, that if you have a problem, then let's avoid snarky comments and focus on something specific, or perhaps, just leave it alone.

Not to be specific (don't want to waste the time ... but ... a quick opinion) ...

For me, I feel that Rockwell does not sufficantly back up his claims with hard core facts. He seems like a radio talk show host that realizes he/she would have a bigger market share of the listeners if he/she made outlandish remarks and claims rather than mainstream, mundane truisms. So this may be true with Rockwell ... he gets gets more hits by being "controversial" than "preaching to the choir".

Sorry, didn't mean to come across that way. My orignal point in posting was just to say that, personally I think its pretty cool that Ken Rockwell mentions Smugmug as an example of a tool that truly meets the needs for event, wedding and stock photography sales. I always like reading a good review of Smugmug, and it may not be the same as a getting mentioned in CNET or Newsweek, but then again I think some people might find Ken Rockwell's reviews to be a little more personal.
