I quickly scanned and picked out a few shots from Saturday 09-02-06. Found a smorgasboard of shorebirds... Willets, Whimbrels, Long Billed Curlews, Marbled Godwits, Terns, Plovers, Turnstones, Sanderlings and many more.. Also found the standards Egrets Snowy and GWE.. As a added bonus I found 4 Little Blue Herons I have only seen in pictures before..

So here is a sampling of what I found.. Many many more to edit through...

Tech
D2x
200-400
TC14EII
ISO 250

For most of the birdies I was able to go into stealth mode and approach to about 40ft.

Enjoy

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice shots. I like 1 and 5. I would probably crop the first one some to get rid of the bird on the left though.

I think cropping the first shot, while getting rid of the other bird, will also make the bird to tight in the frame. I'd leave it as is and just live with the other bird in the shot.

Great shots Eric. Love the background colors in the last shot. The greens and yellows really make the blue stand out. I think he is giving you the evil eye in the last shot.

Thanks everyone for the comments and critiques... I thought about cropping out the bird in the first shot but it made for way to tight of a crop. I could not move closer th the Willet to remove it before shooting... I can always try again...
The last shot is actually a juvenile Little Blue Heron..
