Macros from a cheap lens

So I got this Olympus E500 for my birthday... I am completely happy with the camera itself but I got sticker shock on the lenes for it.
Come on! Many of the new lenes for the 4/3 System are more than the camera itself... by a lot!
Anyways I come across this Macro/Wide-angle lens on eBay.
It was $50 shipped so I figure why not. It's the screw on type that mounts in the 58mm filter threads and I know that it going to have limitations but it's much more affordable than the $700 for the real Olympus WA/M lens.

Anyways, if you are thinking about one of these accessories take a look at a sample photo using it:

Welll... for $50 it's not bad if your expecting a microscope! :rofl
These flowers are TINY! The whole frame is maybe 4 inches top to bottom. Each of these little flowers is smaller than a pencil eraser.

here is another:

One of these berries could be shot out of a straw!

This isn't exactly what I was looking for but if you want a cheap microscope attachment for your camera... $50 + eBay account will do the trick.

:rofl

    Thanks!!

I also think I missed the forum I wanted to put this in. Should have been in the "Other" forum... maybe "Accessories".

{sigh} I have a bad habit of doing that :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks folks.
I wanted to show this little gadget off more for the "bang for a buck" value than anything else.

I think I'll do a repost in the accessories forum later with some of the wide-angle shots too so you can get an idea of what $50 buys ya.
