Just after sun up (over the mountains) - the water is the towm resevoir, the peak to the left is Ha Ling Peak - we 'scrambled' it on Saturday and my legs are still killing me!!!!

Other than the rt side being blown out it is a stunner. The mountain on the right and the cabin have some harsh lighting.

Use some Flex All and get back up that mountain and wait for the lighting.

    Nice shot though.

    Ann,
Great to here from you! thumb.gif
Great view! I only wish the light was softer, especially on pano ne_nau.gif

Sounds like a nice hike! Next time you're in Yosemite, we'll do the Half-Dome, that's fun, too:-) mwink.gif

    Hi Aaron & Nik
Well, thanks for the feedback about the right side of the pano - I think the excessive brightness is an artifact that pano factory introduced. I was looking for just that feedback, and will see what steps I can do to tone it down. It is not technically 'blown', but I agree it is bright.

Here is another view of the cabin side:

As far as hiking, well this was a real spur of the moment trip and my desk job means I am in terrible shape. The hike to the summit of Ha Ling is less than 3 km but a gain of 1000 meters. I'd need to train for the Half ome, Nik.

    cheers

So, just x4 distance, x2 the altitude - and you're there (so I guess Half-Dome is not even as steep as yours:-) :D

You should bring the family to Alberta - I could find some really nice hikes for us. (You'd need to warn me tho, so I could train for it!) I'd probably be able to find some really risky spots just for you mwink.gif
