Are there keywords that cannot be used?

Perhaps its a bug, but I cannot use the word "copy" in my keyword tags. When I edit the keywords it's there, but it does not show up on my list of keywords. :scratch Can't even search for it.

We currently have a blacklist for certain keywords, mostly designed at cleaning up filenames for proper keyword usage. "copy" is one of those that is caught up in that, as we get a lot of filenames with the word copy in them for obvious reasons.

We have discussed splitting up the blacklist to block different keywords on uploading vs manually entering. That is not something that has happened yet though. Sorry!

Bummer, that would be useful for designers looking for images that they could download that could be used for stock photos, but I can see the issue from your side as well. Any idea when this could be changed. I would be ok with keywording after the upload with the bulk keyword updating mechanism. :D

Copy refers to text (publisher speak) as in your image would have space in it so they could add text for an advertisement.

Ah. Still you should be able to find someway around the current restraints.

BTW, I work with copy all the time, just a different type, in that I edit trailers and TV spots for movies.

You could switch it to text or whatever and then make a help page or notice or something that would mention that instead of searching for copy they should search for text (or whatever).

I guess that would be around it. Still would prefer that it was a keyword though :D

    Ben,

Is it possible to split this filename cleanup function out seperately so it only happens on upload ? That way, people keywording manually can set whatever keywords they want ?

    Just an idea.

    Cheers,
