The B&W is nice but it doesn't have the dynamics the colored one
has. The colored one seems to have much more depth and pop. My
eyes almost squint because of the bright color as if I was there.
Real nice,
Al
Both are fine but the colored version stands out and catches your attention.

Which do you like better B&W or Color, or not at all
Got any with pelicans in it?

I really like both for different reasons.. I think the B&W is beautiful, and the colour is stunning! Depends what you want the viewer to see/feel etc??

I like this image - I think I prefer the warmth of the colored version.

Both versions communicate to me.
The lone bird looking 'over his shoulder' is a powerful statement of nature's fragility (statement to me that is).
I perceive this in either version.

Was the color in the original shot or was it added afterwards in Photoshop?

And I don't know if I would like that better, I would just try it, it is so bright right now.
