These were shot from the parking lot where I work. It's a good thing I work in an interior room. Otherwise I would waste my time watching the world go by in front of this wall.

These are all very good. The third one really grabs my attention. Maybe it's the red of the paint bringing out the red of her hair that much more. Maybe it's the blue window frame. I don't know - it just grabs me.

The third one is great. Stick a national brand coffee cup in her hand and one of those companies might pay money for the ad.

    Nice shots!

I agree with the others; your third image is the strongest. I also like the first image.

Sweet ... I see a table top book here ... "Window with a View ... Not a Great Big View ... But a View Nonetheless". I find the overhead street lamp distracting ... especially the shadow (so I'd remove it some early morning before work). What city were these taken?

    I like your shots.

    Hmmm.

These are nice shots although the colours are just too saturated and the scenes look too contrived (even if they aren't) for my taste. I also think No 4 has a lot more of interest in it than the other 3.
well, this is nice. I rather like it.

Great wall!!! I remember seeing the 2nd one in your gallery a while back. It's always nice to have a favorite place you can rely on for some of your shots. Like Gary said, could make an interesting book, or at least gallery.

I was interested in greatnorthwood's comments that the colors in my shots are too saturated. I've received that comment a couple of other times, and they have been from people who live in the UK or in Northern Europe. I wonder if it could have to do with where you live, greatnorthwood. These pictures were taken in Santa Barbara, California. on a clear, sunny day. We are a lot closer to the Equator than you are, and the light is stronger and brighter which makes colors brighter. Plus, these pictures are taken against a white wall which reflects even more light. I have noticed when I see scenes of the UK, a lot of times I think, "that's washed out". (That's not to say you don't have sunny days in the UK, but you don't have as many as we do. :): )

This is meant as an observation, not an argument. Believe me, I appreciate the comment.

I don't know that I'll ever do a coffee table book, but I do have a vague idea for a photo essay floating around in the back of my head. Maybe someday...

    Thanks for all your comments.

I like that reply - you make it sound so grey. We thrive on long hot summer afternoons and crisp, bright winter mornings. The autumns are a sea of reds, yellow and greens, and the Spring is alive with new growth, fresh dew and a fresh sense of hope. rolleyes1.gif

I do see your point about the colours - If these really are that colour with no post-processing, I'm impressed.

I'm not wanting to put them down - it's just an observation - I liked the shots otherwise.
well, this is nice. I rather like it.

I really like the fourth one. You know I saw the first and thought what wonderful colors...then the second and thought you actually did something to bland out the colors...it was not until the third that I knew what you were doing ha! Great job.
