These were done on the last run before we left, the light sucked but the pics were pretty good. Tomorrow I'll have more time and better light. But I thought I'd share my first batch from my new D1

    Your timing is good but your subjects are out of focus. For these, you might
    need to think about using flash.

    I do like 11. Riding at the ski resorts is fun stuff too.

    That is a problem I seem to be having. A big problem is that I can never seem to make it to the trails until Dusk. The pics look bright but truse me, the light is less than favorable. I can't afford a flash yet, but I have my eye on the SB-600. Never the less, my technique is improving and I'm learning to make do with the light god sees fit to give me. This is from Sunday.

    Better, yes!

    Now, you just need to watch the backgrounds--the X-formers. Otherwise,
    you've got motion (nice pan too!), good focus on the rider. Much better
    shot!
