Some flowers

From one of the gardens at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, ON.

All scans from Fuji Velvia 100. Do they seem a little dark? It was kind of overcast and drizzly at times. I was using a monopod, but probably could've used some better lighting...

Any comments appreciated! :):

They look good to me. Overall they have a dark look but I think if they were any lighter you might start losing detail in the brighter areas. Basically I think they look fine under the lighting conditions present. One thig I noticed is that they are all very centered. Try mixing your placement up a little.

I hafta say #3 the Monarch BF is the best of the bunch!! thumb.gifthumb.gif

Dark lighting situation I woulda push 1/2-a full stop for lil extra exposure for the others.

    Thanks for the input.

The centering becomes more obvious when I put all the pictures in a row like that. I can try some different crops on those to see how they look. Have to remember to try different compositions when I'm actually taking the shot (I'm usually to focused on focusing and exp. and such to remember that while I'm actually shooting umph.gif )

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
