An early morning, overcast shot of an osprey with a fish at SJWS.
A couple of Cooper's Hawks from Bolsa.
Another shot of one of the Coopers.
One of the Coopers landed just above my head and I managed to get an extreme backlit shot before he flew off.
I comped it with a sunset shot for the hell of it.

Thanks David! I agree with you on the 4th, it needs a bit of work. It's too bad I did not get a bit of separation of the cooper's hawk's tail and the branch.

First of all, I don't even know where to look for a raptor. Secondly, I'd have to get a big honkin lens, then use a phone pole for a tripod... No, really, these are stunning photographs. Most excellent work. Love them.

Nice ones.
Thanks Ric! They're alot smaller than redtails, and their tails are significantly longer. These guys are juveniles and don't have their adult plummage.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
