Does anyone have any opinions on this software? I am considering upgrading to that from iMovie. I like some of the features it boasts and have read some great reviews. Any thoughts?

I don't use FC Express, I'm on Final Cut Studio.

Express is very much like FCP 3, however, and yes, I would recommend upgrading to it if you're at all serious about cutting movies on a regular basis.

What is it that you want to do?

Well, iMovie will get the job done. FCE will give you a lot more options. I guess it's a balance of money and interest. If you're interested enough in getting into editing, then FCE is the way to go.
