Here I did a lil better crop and fixed the pic a bit.
Not the best pic but I got the shot while I could.
It didn't hang around but for about 5 seconds! :dunno

ANYONE positively ID it?
I still say it's a Blackburnian? :scratch

    Hi, Graphy

    Great shot

have you looked here. The only shot of a female they have is a first year bird so the markings may not be completely developed.

I have not looked at all of them, but I have not found another as closely marked as the the Blackburnian so I guess thumb.gifthumb It probably is...

Given the quality of some of the photos there I often wonder why they don't update them with better shots

    Cheers

I can't help you with the ID but still like to motivate you by saying that this is a beautiful capture of a beautiful bird. Well done.

    Thanks for sharing.

You might want to see if there is a local chapter of the Audubon Society near you. I'm sure they would be glad to help you ID this warbler.

It's a great capture. Warblers are hard to photograph!

    Thanx Guys!

I'm planning on a trip to Cornell's Ornithology Lab soon for some real nice bird shots!

    http://www.birds.cornell.edu/

My last trip which was a few years ago yeilded this shot.
I had a crappy point and shoot then.
I sold a copy of this pic shortly after taking it.
Can't imagine what shots I could get now that I have a REAL camera and glass! :D
