I would love to. Unfortunately I'll be on the other side of the planet by then - in Ecuador!
Still have a great time in good ol'e Germany - Andy! In what hall/booth will smugmug/you be? Havent't found you in the exhibitor list.

Hi Sebastian, we're not exhibiting, I'm there to meet with several companies we're talking to, and to "work the show floor"

Yeah, I want to finally learn Spanish as I haven't really during my 3 years of studying. I'm not taking any courses over there so I'm taking a vacation from my regular studies and plant trees etc. for Planetdrum in order to help fortifying the ground of the Pacific coast town area of Bahía de Caráquez. Foremost I'll try to speak a lot with the local people which wil be really hard in the beginning I guess.
Now after hijacking the thread back to topic:
Even though smugmug doesn't have a booth I'm sure that Andy will be spreading the word a lot about smugmug. I guess he juat ordered a new set of business cards.
I'd be interested in any sightings of the Canon Media Storage M80, which may have been released in the last day or so, and which appears to be a competitor for the Epson P-4000/4500. I can't find any details anywhere, even on Canon's own sites.
When you're over at the Canon booth (your first stop, surely?), perhaps you can make some enquiries?
Spill the beans - Whats new and exciting from Photokina? Found any un-announced Canon 1 series cam's laying about?
Definitely on my mind too-- a 5D replacement with anti-dust sensor and a cheaper price? A 1D with an anti-dust sensor, 12 megapixels, and full-frame sensor?
Guess we'll all find out soon enough. Better start filling up the penny jar again...

An interesting market entry by Canon, but I see Epson has replaced its P-2000/4000/4500 models to a P-3000 and P-5000 so they obviously intend to defend their position in this segment.
Even the batteries match! I wonder what's the price range... I want one!!
$799 on the linked site from BeachBill. I was looking for the dimentions on the unit since if it uses a camera battery, it must be very thick (deep). I followed the link at the bottom of the page but I can not find any dimentions.
The unit I have always wanted is the Jobo Giga Vu Pro Evolution. But then I'm not sure I can really justify it. I have a XS hard drive unit which is perfectly adequate for my needs.

Instead I wish you to have fun for all of us
I'll be looking for your trench stories and battle pictures.
And please, would you make sure Canon replaces this darn "Print" button with "Send to Smugmug" one?
Not gonna happen I'm afraid Better luck next time :cry
