This was a trip to Lassen Peak at Lassen National Volcano Park, east of Redding, CA. Pretty amazing that it was about 100 degrees in Redding, but only 45 miles east, at about 10,000+ feet, it was a nice, cool 39! Enjoy!

Thanks! Believe it or not, it was early July this year! The park has two entrances, on the north and south sides... We spent the night in Redding the night before, and that town is closest to the north entrance...lucky for us, we called to make sure the roads were cleared of snow, and the part of the road to the volcano was still under about 8 feet of snow, so we had to head south to the other entrance. Here is another pic that shows how deep the snow was!
