Not sure I should be posting this but I feel I know quite a few of you, and if the situation were reversed I would want to know, so here goes.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I posted a little while ago that I would be having back surgery. During the MRI, and follow up CAT scan they discovered a large abdominal aneurysm that needs to be addressed right away. The bad news is I have this. The good news is they found it.

The surgeon is trying to get an OR as fast as he can, and I am waiting for his call as I type this.

I may post some more today, but it looks like I won’t be posting for a few weeks or so.

Wish me luck.

It can be repaired, that is the good news. You will be on the mend in no time.
If it had ruptured undetected, you would not have made it to the hospital. A very dangerous condition and there are no symptoms. Many people have this and do not even know it. I'm glad you will be fixed up and back to us soon.

Sorry about the need for surgery and all that but those aneurysms are nothing to mess with.
Keep good thoughts and you'll be back on your feet in no time.
Hope everything goes well!

Knowing ahead of time must be a great thing with this Sam, you'll be getting a planned operation with the best staff on the case.
Best wishes, and get well soon.

Sorry I missed this. You are very much in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they were able to fix what needed fixin', and you get back to normal ASAP.
