Hi,
I just got my new Intuous 6x8 tablet yesterday
It seems that just about all other painting/drawing/writing are ideally done at an angle (think drafting table, easel, etc.) My initial solution has been to use the groove in my keyboard shelf for the bottom of the tablet, and rest the top against the top edge of my compuer desk, which is reasonably stable during use. I'm still using my ergonomic laser mouse placed on the right side of the tablet, and my keyboard ends up wedged at a 90 degree angle on the shelf to the left of the tablet.
This setup is OK until I need to use a photoshop shortcut that requires a letter, or enter a numerical value. Reaching for the keys at such an odd position is really awkward & slows me down :cry my monitor is placed a few inches away from the edge ot the desk, so the keyboard wouldn't fit in front of it unless I moved it back, and I'm not sure how that would work with the tablet leaning against that edge :scratch
All ye tablet users, how do you handle these issues? :huh
TIA,

cool!! They are quite a bit of fun! I am most comfy just leaning back in my chair (big ol comfy high back) and just putting it in my lap. Sometimes it's half leaning against the edge of the desk.. I have the 9 x 12 and it's just too big to have on the desk.
have fun!! <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" >
Ditto. Works great.

I've thought about putting the keyboard in my lap, because it seems easier to get used to the tablet when it is basically aligned with tne monitor. I have a big old monitor (Cornerstone p1750), so it uses a fair amount of space on my desk. Seems that I'm experiencing "system sprawl" as I acquire additional peripherals :uhoh
Based on your setups, it occurs to me I could try to put the keyboard close to me & to the right of the tablet by opening the desk drawer and placing it there
So far I think the tablet is pretty cool Another learning curve ahead - I could use several extra brains and/or lifetimes for my hobbies, not to mention $$$
