OK now I know that the really great interesting flower shots are often Macros...but here are some pictures I got yesterday while waiting on a Tennis Match rain delay. As always comments and critiques appreciated. Also this is my first shot at utilizing the "How to make it pop" series in the how to. Do these look overly PP to anyone?

These pictures look pretty good to me.
The colours are nice and they pop :

I worked for a time next door to a wholesale florist and got to know the manager quite well. He took flower pictures everyday as part of his job. He told me to mist some water on the flower with a water bottle to give the flower a fresh dewy look. I had found that my flower shots taken right after a rain always looked the best, and the water mist helps get that same effect. Your rose looks like it is probably the same variety that I have in my yard. I am only seeing #1 and #3, #2 didn’t come up on my screen. In #3 I would have liked to see just a bit more DOF, as the rose seems to kind of fade out.
Thought I follow that tutorial on making the picture pop, but I have PSE 4.0 and it doesn’t have Curves, so I got shot down on that one. It figures that since I just bought 4.0, Adobe just announced 5.0, and 5.0 does have curves. Course the upgrade for 5.0 costs almost as much as I paid for 4.0, you just can’t win with software.
Add-on, Number two appeared when I posted my reply. I like #1 and #3 better.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
