    Im surprised they didnt put that in the XTi. Looks creamy smooth though. thumb.gif

    No need to put it in the XTi. The main added feature is face recognition, which wouldn't work with an SLR AF system. The other addition was improved noise reduction. Supposedly, this was geared toward stretching the small digicam sensor to 1600 ISO. Also, if you shoot RAW with the XTi, it's not clear Digic does much to the stored image. I think it's really focused on producing the JPEG.

    So, DIGIC III really looks like it's meant to benefit the P&S and digicam models.

    It's an unworthy successor to the G-series.

    No RAW and no flip screen. Bad bacon.
