Its a very nice stop action, I wouldn't have done the color selection though, I'm just not digging it. But other then that its good.

For me, the first posted shot, with the black and white is the one I prefer. The black and white minimizes the large woman in the upper left corner. Either way, it is a wonderful stop action picture.wings.gif

I think I prefer the original too.

What about another version... instead of going directly to B&W stop a bit before whole desaturation, and only mute the colors? (You'd get best of both worlds)

I love the de-colorized version, its cool and original. I feel parents would buy those since it really puts the kid in the spotlight.

The selective color version helps hide the background and put the emphasis
    on the player.

    Nice job!

Like em both. The selective color one for the reason Ian brought up (plus I like the skintones/player coloration better). The second one is also nice and maybe a bit of background blur would accomplish the same result as the selective coloring ne_nau.gif

I love this fast pitch photo. I like them both.
I would probably blur the bg.

... if only to minimise the distraction of the clearly unathletic spectator at the extreme left!
