Zune has the opportunity to give ipod a run for its money, especially if microsoft puts as much money into it as they did the xbox. Bill Gates doesn't like to see things fail.
Really, its easy to make an mp3 player these days, right now I think its about the accessories that go along with them. The ipod has an accessory for everything these days, what other mp3 player can you get integrated into your car?
If Zune or any other mp3 player manufacturer can put out a sleek looking, easy to use mp3 player with as many accessories as an ipod, than we'll have some competition on our hands. Until then, I think the ipod will reign supreme.

No, but that'd be nice. There are a lot of aftermarket ipod connectors that connect your factory radio to your ipod, somewhat like a cd changer. You can then control the ipod via your radio controls and dials.
However, there are many cars already implementing the feature in the existing stock radio's, and many more car models will offer the feature in 2007.
I'm currently planning on getting a new car this January and one of the features I'm looking for is an integrated ipod connector.
