That text tool and layers are how I get text into my photos....so your text would be a separate layer........

Hey Gus, Try going here. You can have a rubber stamp created for you so you can have that perfect signature every time.
Being that your signature probably can't be recreated 3 time as required on the website order form.
If you are heavy in an vector based art program, you can just make a jpeg of your sig then make an outline of it then tweak and turn to make you sig as cool as you want it to be.
If your not heavy on vector art. I'll hook you up if you send me a closeup shot of your sig. may take me about a week to finish since I'm pretty busy. Should only take about 15 minutes for me to do though.

I am after a stamp that i can load my own letters into thus i can title any of my photo borders to suit the photo.
    Hi there,

My first question is how are you going to access the mat (that's the border you're talking about) after the picture is framed? I would expect that you would need to add your wording after it's cut to size (at least on the outside) but before they put it behind glass and finish the framing job. If you are taking it to a framing shop, perhaps they have someone there who can do this for a small fee?

My handwriting is also pathetic, and I've yet to see an interchangeable rubber stamp that gives decent looking results rolleyes1.gif I think it's possible to construct one but it would be expensive (not to mention tedious). If the mat is not too textured, you might be able to get away with using a computer printed clear label. I've done that on the back of cards, and burnished it with a flat roller. Most people don't seem to notice the sticker, though I do mwink.gif There are also size limitations to this approach as I don't think these stickers come in too many sizes. The up side is that you can choose a font & color to suit yourself :D I've been using a lazer printer for those, but I'm pretty sure they'll work OK with inkjets, too.

You can also buy sticky letters in a variety of colors & sizes, which requires careful alignment and application, but would work well for larger letters. You might want to look for scrapbooking sticker alphabets on google or eBay and see what you can find eek7.gif

    Hope that helps,
    Tammy :):

G'day DH. I mentioned to the framer today that i needed to add my finger print as a signature & they said no worries then they will just do it with tabs & not staples thus i can open the frame easily. I asked if this makes any diff to the final quality & they said no diff at all.

I have a very high quality laser printer avail to me so i may try some diff things with that. Yeah i recon the rubber stamps would possibly be a bit on the dodgy side re print quality.

    tks

Another idea depending on the output size of your printer, you could make your own backing sheet on matt paper and print whatever you want. Then hand both over to the frame shop.

What I have done is cheat a bit, just size the canvas larger (not the image) in PS , add whatever I want for the borders... or just your sig or title at the bottem. Print either borderless or just a tighter margin. You can even add some drop shadow or stylize a container surrounding the pic.

My fav effect I did on one pic was a tight cropped print that I printed my own matt with the full pic at like 30% opacity..
