I took a trip to Cornell's Ornithology Lab at Sapsucker Woods today.
1st true field tesy of my new Sigy 80-400.

Man what a day it was!! :ivar

Get a load of these!!!!!!!!!
These are only the 1st 3 I PP'd so far!

Best for last.
This trail I followed....spied these Deer laying in the woods about 50yrs away. I tempted fate and snuk up within 35-40ft of em and they paid me no nevermind!! HS!!!!!!
**Due to darkness in woods I had to bump to ISO 1600 thus a tad of noise**

None the less it was a GREAT day! Now if I could always get shots like this! :scratch :D

    I find the right hand side of the frame very distracting, but the bird is neat.

    Looks like you needed more shutter speed here. I do understand the excitement of a new lens though. :D

    Pic 1 I could crop a lil diff.

    Pic 2 has a thistle plant in the foreground that I hafta figure out how clone it out without ruining the shot.

    Pic 3 had all the shutter speed I could give it. Due to the circumstances the deer pics are as good as they get.
