My Journal

I have held off on posting a link to my journal for a while now because I wasnt too sure about if I should post it here or not. The reason I have not been sure is because it is located on a sitte called Foveonx3.org. This is a site that was set up by a friend of mine with the hope of creating a forum where information and photographs made with foveon based cameras could reside. Well it didnt really kick off at all and he didnt have time to work on it so I gave him a hand in setting up the forum side and in the process we both migrated our journals into the forum. I would like to know what you all think of them. I have never tried to put words and stories to my photographs in the way that I do in the journal so it is very new to me. Any feedback you could give would be very helpful. Here is the link.

I hope I was not wrong to link to a camera specific site such as this. It just happens that I was able to get in on the ground level with the forum and it was the perfect place for us to house our journals. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.

I think I went from photos of no running water and sheep to the photos of the palace. Each had their own beauty, and your journal adds immeasurably.
I like where you say how you really love your job.
I have not read everything. I am sure I will go back to cover it all, maybe you will have posted more by then.

Mike I read your journal and enjoyed seeing and reading your insights. I have heard from other service men that it is not as bad in Iraq as we hear on the nightly news. It was nice to see the Iraquis waving as you flew by in the helicopters.
The Palaces are amazing and there are still Iraqi's without even running clean water.
Thank you for your pictures and your journal entries. Keep safe, please.

It is not as bad in Charleston as we see on the nightly news, either.
Mike, I am sorry, I love your photos et al. I love to see that side of things there. I love the sheep. Actually, it looks biblical to me, no matter which Bible one might use.
Then what could I say about the palaces, well, maybe more the pictures you took of them. You put your "eye" to good use.
I show what I love about Charleston, and you are showing us what you love about Iraq. (Our news leads with a black murder every night, I have quit watching it. For all I know it is the same murder every night, all year long.)

Keep reporting the good stuff and as the man said, stay safe! Don't let the sheep get you.
The idea is a very good one. I never considered using a forum for posting photos and journals. You may also want to look at Wordpress for that. It's a bit leaner and faster and word may get out a bit faster.
The photos are great! Thanks for posting the link.
Im glad some of you had time to go take a look. I have really enjoyed making the journal and will continue to as I take more shots. Im up to around 1500 on my Sigma now. Not too bad for 2 months. Thanks again.
