After coming home from work last week, I ran into the house to get my camera... Not the best image with all of the power lines, but it was incredible to look at..
You only see this kind of color when the wildfires are raging. (see Nik's thread "Fiery Sunset").
Sweet! I get sunsets like that out here but they'r ehard to capturee the TRUE beauty. I could REALLY use a DSLR..
Thanks, Bayer... You don't have to get an SLR, just something that will shoot RAW! An SLR is very flexible, but also turns into a very expensive hobby!

What he said. Shooting RAW allows you to turn the shot into the image you saw rather than letting the camera guess.
