A shot from my abbreviated birthday weekend trip to NC. This is about as close as you can get to the 400'+ falls. From an observation deck across the valley.

Taken 1/3.2 sec. exposure. Need to get an ND filter for these falls I suppose.

    Nice!
Been there quite a few times and am hoping for a nice fall color picture this year.

Yes. Going back in mid-October for a family reunion and hope to get a nice fall color shot as well.

    Thanks everyone!

Great shot! It's always sunny when I'm out that way, and that means a big fat shadow across the falls..... ne_nau.gif :cry lol3.gif

Hiking to the bottom is worth it, btw! It's bit of a trek back up, but you can climb rocks almost all the way to the base of the falls! Great shooting down there.... and old bridge if I recall?

Beautiful image. Nicely composed and good exposure. I think the white balance needs some correction to get rid of some of the blueish/green hue. Try using curves and the middle-grey eye-dropper on some of the water at the top.
