Some Yellowstone critters - Elk and Pronghorn and Bears Oh My!
Just returned from a great trip to Yellowstone. Heres a few images I'd like to share.
Rocky Mountain Elk
Cervus elaphus
Yellowstone National Park, September 2006

Need to clone out that yellow thingy!

Unfortunately the light was getting pretty harsh when we found this guy.
Pronghorn
Antilocapra americana
Yellowstone National Park, September 2006
EXIF
And the highlight of our trip was viewing this Grizzly chewing on a Bison carcass. Unfortunately, we had to stay pretty far away for safety reasons so the crop caused some detail loss, and the lighting was not the best.
Grizzly Bear
Ursus arctos horribilis

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I have been very happy with the stability of the sidekick with the 500. IMO if you already have a good ball head then the Sidekick is a good alternative to the full Wimberly. That being said --- I've read enough reviews stating that the full wimberly gives better support and I plan on replacing the Sidekick at some point in the future.
