Saguaro cactus in Phoenix Arizona.

Just looked up and there was this shot, against some clouds (not something that we get too often around here). One of my favorite pictures. :D

    clouds...
The blue sky and clouds make this memorable to me. Cactus are nice to see in a photo anytime but all the elements seem to have come together to make this a great photo.

This time of year seems to be best for blue skys where I live and I was fortunate to get a couple of nice shots yesterday but I wish I could have the outdoor scenery you seem to have.

Thank you steveL. I have family in St. Louis and have visited quite often, I am always taken by how green it is compared to Phoenix hehehe. If in doubt about a picture, just get closer hehehe.

Very nice. And as an avid woodworker, I was astounded to come across your Sam Maloof gallery. One of the best galleries of his work I've seen.

Thank you for the kind words and it's nice to find another woodworker. wings.gif I stumbled onto his work while I was visiting San Diego, and of course the museum was closed when I found out. So I had to come back and decided to take some pictures of his work, but from a woodworker's perspective, showing the details most magazines seem to miss. It was tough to shoot, since I could not use flash, so high ISO became my friend mwink.gif and a wide aperture.

Glad you enjoyed the images, I posted the original link on a few of the woodworkers forums including Fine Woodworking where they put a link in their blog (before I had my smugmug account so it points to flickr instead) They seemed to like it and I was flattered that they liked them enough to post a link to the pics. I was hoping that they would have wanted to run a story and use my images hehehehe but no luck. rolleyes1.gif
