This is Jay Clifford from the band Jump, Little Children. these were taken at the Blue Horse music hall in Augusta, GA.

everything in this set was shot at 200 ISO handheld. (I may have shot some at 400 ISO once i attached the 2x teleconverter to the 105, cant remember now)

    I really like the black and white one. I like the pose more in this one. More thoughtful introspective type artist shot and the B&W works very well for it. The only problem I have is that the metallic handle thing on the left side of the image is a little distracting. Nice work.

    yea...believe it or not that is a record player. he uses an LP on stage to add some drums and things to his songs. i could easily crop it out...the image is actually a bit off center, so it needs to be cropped anyway :)

    I like the color image better than the B&W that may just be because of the tighter crop. Very nice though, you know I never have shot anything on stage before...looks pretty interesting though.

    thanks...thats actually not cropped...one advantage to an "intimate" venue is that you can get really close to the stage. i was sitting on the front row anyway, the b/w image was taken from my seat at 50mm.
