surprising result
I started with a shot of my daughter, swimming in the pool on a bright day. A chance shot (not posed) turned out nice, but the sun was intense and the areas outside the shaded part of the pool were blown. So I cropped down to remove as much of the blown area as possible:
But then working to remove the blown areas...I stumbled upon a 'Hi-key' filter effect, and was really surprised by the result...what do you think? Has a flim grain effect, and you certainly don't notice the blown areas any longer :wink
By the way, this is from one of the filters in Optikverve Labs VirtualPhotographer, a superb set of free filter effects that are fun to play with.
